My Christian Investing Rubric: A Working Draft E-mail

I want to start to explore what makes "Christian Investing" different. As a Christian Investor I promise to:

1. Give a portion of what I have to those who have less; God doesn't have a checking account here on earth and there are a lot of people He'd like to help.
2. Never intentionally invest in companies that harm people or the environment; profitable ends never justify evil means.
3. Do more than my fair share of research so that I can be well informed; ignorance is never bliss.
4. Give to Caesar what is Caesar's. AKA: Pay my taxes.
5. Know the condition of my flock. AKA: Track my portfolio. Understand my investments. Weed out what I find to be immoral.
6. Never look to money for happiness. Money is never my master.
7. Always be thankful for what I have, never greedy for more.

God may not have a checking account but He owns the cattle on a thousand hills. I wonder what He does with the money when He sells a few of them? He probably reads your articles to know how and where to invest! I would if I were God.
