It's proxy (annual shareholder meeting) season and when you get those forms asking you for your proxy votes on various corporate resolutions, they also ask you for your vote for the board of directors.  The companies don't really give you any choices, but at least my grandmother has one way of making sure her voice is heard.  She says, "Those corporate managers are so greedy anyway, I just vote against everyone on the compensation committee."  She goes on to complain about how some companies make it difficult to figure out who is on the compensation committee since they know some people use her strategy.

There are not many American companies where corproate CEO's are not paying themselves way too much for not performing.  I wouldn't vote against the compensation commitee at Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A) since Warren Buffet only pays himself $1 a year.  But he's a real entrepreneur, owner and creator.  A huge percentage of CEO's are caretaking a company someone else created. Why they think they deserve tens of millions of dollars for not taking any personal, inventive or creative risk is beyond me.
