Bottled Water Consumption Overtakes Soda in UK E-mail
Written by David Neubert

It's about time.

First , early humans drank water. Then there was milk.  Then there was beer.  Then Soda.  Now water is again the number one beverage in the UK again.  According to this story at This Is London , bottled water has overtaken sodas.

So who is selling all this water?  You guessed it, the big corporations are actually marketing something that is good for us.  Nestle (NSRGY), Dannon (DA), Pepsi(PEP) and Coke(KO) all have their hands (spickets) in selling us water.

Is it really better? Is it even safe? Are the plastic bottles making us fat? [1]

Water's always been more popular -- it just wasn't packaged and measured in retail units.

The Environmental Working Group is inviting our participation in an interesting study, "Project Bottled Water," to determine safety of bottled water. [2] If you've got a bottle of water, do please help them out. This water-loving Panelist would love to know...
