Is this list in any way shape or form socially responsible?" Oh you are so right, if this were a socially responsible portfolio it probably would not include gold mining or oil. But since I have never claimed this was a socially responsible portfolio, but rather my personal portfolio, my answer to your question is no. What I do try to do is engage in shareholder activism where possible. Shareholder activism has more influence on company behavior than selling shares and ignoring companies.
