"On July 17, 2007, Atlanta Falcons player Michael Vick was indicted in Virginia on charges involving animal fighting. According to the criminal indictment against Vick, dogs were beaten, hung, electrocuted, starved and forced to fight other abused dogs while their owners and others bet thousands of dollars on which dog would either die or give up in agony first. Vick personally carried out some of these killings, which took place as recently as this past April." Comments

Lauren -
I agree with you that dog fighting is a cruel and terrible sport. I'm glad that it is illegal pretty much everywhere. Could you please do us a favor and explain why not buying Nike will decrease illegal dog fighting in the future? Also, are you also boycotting the NFL? If the stock falls will you buy it? Disclosure: I do not own Nike (NKE). It has a 2008 forward p/e of what looks like 16.5. I might start buying Nike if it had a forward p/e of under 15. That corresponds to a price around 48. | |

surprised if he’s not guilty, but I think boycotting
before conviction is wrong.
