They are sexy, they are engaging, they are angry, they embarrass war mongers, they protect our troops, they care -- Oh! And they are HOT BABY.  Our friends at Code Pink - Women for Peace got a nice write up in the San Francisco Chronicle yesterday

And believe me, I never want to get them thinking that I'm not for peace.  I couldn't not handle the pressure.  Luckily, most of the Senators who voted for invading Iraq back in 2003 can't handle the pressure either.

Code Pink - Women for Peace Disclosure:  I have supported Code Pink with donations.  I have am not against war in all contexts.  I am only against wars not worth the violence and economic cost.  Politicians looking for power always underestimate the suffering and cost that violence creates among soldiers and civilians on both sides.  I support living in a country with a military that is strong enough to deter wars and violence.  I do not believe in using that military without respect and forethought for those who have chosen to serve.  I have never been in the military but my family has a long history of service and I grew up fascinated with the stories my dad and grandfathers would tell.

Well, well,, well. There is so much non sense in such a short post that I would not know where to start. Best way, is to try to also make it short. If I can.

"they embarrass war mongers": Huh! Who have they embarrassed so far besides themselves and their families? I am sure GWB and Rummie feel dead embarrassed by those Ladies! If you ask me they must be thinking: "Gosh, when do they move to Toronto?"

"they protect our troops, they care": how about asking these very same troops what they think about those hysterical Ladies? Can't wait to read some good-old-down-to-earth Marines comments about the Pink B....

"they are sexy": allow me to skip this one, after all I want to remain polite.

"I have am not against war in all contexts": yeah right, it's just that those dumb ass Americans always seem to pick the wrong fights. It's amazing how through US History and politics you can find so many of those: dont-misunderstand-me-I-like-the-army-and-so-but-this conflict-is-definitely-not-the-good-one.

Two last short ones:

I am amazed that with your litany of unfunded / undemonstrative attacks towards the President you broke the first commandment of the Church of Liberalism: "Thou shall not be judgmental!" Ooops, I forgot that this commandment works only in one direction.

I am equally stunned that you gave money to Code Pink and call them your friends. It must be known to you, that their boss and many others in their organization have a long past of working for or leading NGOs that have been fighting globalism and free trade, supporting supporting Marxism, and are best friends with all the nut cases trying to impose Bolivarism upon South America: Chavez, Noriega, Morales a.s.o. In the future avoid to claim being a Reagan Libertarian. Certain things just don't add up.

Cheers from Ol'Europe,

Arnaud
