Honda Motor Co. - 2007/01/04 04:11
If you really want to do your part to reduce greenhouse gases and air pollution, then ride a bike and take public transportation. The next best thing is to drive the Honda Insight. (After all, you might need a car. It’s America.)
But if you want a new Insight, you'll need to move quickly. Honda stopped making the two-seater Insight in Sept. 2006.
In 2008 Honda intends to lease fuel cell cars in the US and Japan. By 2018 Honda, Japan’s number 3 car company, plans to mass-produce fuel cell cars. Challenges in getting to mass production include the reduction of corrosion and oxidation resistant noble metals like platinum used for fuel cells, improving hydrogen storage, and reducing hydrogen costs.
