For the most part, Big Oil is hesitant to embrace alternative energy, preferring instead to push for more drilling. For some, however, it appears that the industry is seeing the writing on the wall. Chevron (CVX) is one of the major investors in the Yadana gas field and pipeline project. This pipeline transports gas to Thailand and, reportedly, pays a rather large chunk to the military regime in Burma.
